It's incredible. Slightly over a year ago, I was bored in my English class, and I decided to do a quick doodle of an OotS-Style character. I was surprised by its simplicity, and drew a few more. At the time, my good friend Simon,

, was drawing a comic called "The Daily Life at CMS" (our school at the time). He convinced me to make a spinoff based on the D&D games we played, and WLiSB was born. I was well aware that my art was terrible, but I wasn't too concerned. My friends got a chuckle, and my comics averaged 5 or so views. Life was good. My comics became a regular activity during my lunch, with my friends reading them every time they saw the folder, regardless of whether or not they were finished. Dave would often draw mustaches on my characters when my back was turned, which inspired both my ire and a gag later in the series. If you look closely at the originals, you can still see the eraser marks on some of the characters.
Time passed, and the series grew, at least as well as it could for a side hobby by a terrible artist with no motivation. My art improved somewhat, and I began thinking of a story for my comic. Then, one fateful day, I installed a copy of Adobe Illustrator onto my computer. Trial and error were a key factor in the process of adjusting to the new medium. Those of you who were around earlier know how bad my original illustrations looked. But life continued.
My digital comics were looking much better than my hand drawn ones, but I still faced a problem. Despite all of my efforts, I had only a few readers. I soon found my answer, however. The thumbshare forum awaited me, and I posted comics in a gigantic frenzy. Posting there is a bit of a hit-or-miss affair, however. It is quite possible that the person whose thread you're posting on will have no interest in comics at all, or will not have a clue about the subject matter. Still, my readership grew. My comics expanded, giving me more mediums to attract readers, and my views skyrocketed. I made it to 1,000 views, then 2,000, and I have now made it to 3,000. Truly amazing.
I know, this is a bit dramatic for a 3K view mark, but this is significant to me. I never expected to have any readers other than my closest friends, and I had no idea that the quality of my comics would hit the (low, but not quite as low) level they're at. I'd now like to take the time to thank my readers, and I will make acknowledgments as I see fit. I urge you to take a look at some of their galleries, if they have any.

Simon, from the comic's title. Without his support, I doubt I would have started the comic.

Dave. One of my earliest critics, I got a lot of good advice from you. The comic certainly would look a lot worse without your guidance.

A club I joined shortly after switching to Illustrator to attract new readers. I'm pleased to say I got quite a few more views because of it.

One of my earliest watchers. He won my 1,000th view contest, so he's in Penultimate Phantasy 3. Thanks for reading.

Another one of my earliest watchers. He had won cameos in both Penultimate Phantasy 3 and WLiSB 11. Congrats, and thanks for reading.

Shayna. I swear, you'll be in WLiSB eventually! Thanks for your support.
I would also like to thank Stumpy, Wesley, Jack, Jon, and Wally, but none of them have accounts worth mentioning. All five of you helped inspire many of my jokes.
Finally, I couldn't do this without YOUR help! Thank you for reading my comics, and be sure to check out all of these fine people who read the comics!

Oh, and if you're curious, you can read "The Daily Life at CMS" on Simon's old account.
